Solstice Walk at the Nijenburg Estate
Around the longest day of the year, you can join guides from the Heiloo Historical Society on a traditional walk to the Ronde in the Heilooër Bos to enjoy the summer solstice there.
The Nijenburg House was built precisely so that on June 20, 21, and 22, you can see the sun disappear directly below the horizon. The golden-orange reflection in the pond and windows of Nijenburg is spectacular.
